Visiting Researcher

CinTurs and the School of Economics of the University of Algarve hosted Professor Aleksandra Kuzminska-Haberla from the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, Poland, as part of the Eramus+ mobility programme. On this occasion, the short course “A Design Thinking Approach to Revitalizing Winter Tourism in the Algarve Region” was organised on 12 February.  Read more.

The Higher Institute of Engineering (ISE) and the Research Centre for Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being (CinTurs) of the University of Algarve, in partnership with the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) and the Algarve Tourism Board (RTA), are promoted, as part of the cycle of conferences on accessible tourism, the seminar "Co-creation of an Accessible Mediterranean Diet Route", held on 11th February in Faro. JTSW Call for Papers

CinTurs invites contributions to the special issue "Short-Term Rentals: Impacts on Tourism and Communities". The issue seeks to advance a scholarly understanding of the dynamics surrounding short-term rentals (STRs) in diverse tourism territories. The aim is to identify sustainable practices across different territorial contexts and assess their impacts on communities, stakeholders, and emerging tourism trends. Read more   .
