Research Internships

CinTurs has launched the 10th edition of the Research Integration Internships (EII) as part of the scientific activities of the Centre for students of the University of Algarve. The aim is to become a training instrument, placing the student in direct contact with scientific research. Read more.

Master Webinar

On 20 March, CinTurs organised a new session in the "CinTurs Master Webinars" cycle and welcomed Dr Brian Garrod, Professor of Marketing at Swansea University's School of Management and Director of the Centre for Visitor Economy Research (CVER), who spoke about the emotional work of parents of autistic children on holiday. International Seminar

The Thematic Section Families and Life Course of the Portuguese Sociology Association, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve and the CICS.NOVA – Interdisciplinary Center of Social Sciences, with the support of CinTurs, are co-organising the International Seminar "All in the same boat? Housing Challenges Over the Lifecourse, to be held on 23rd April at the Faculty of Economics of the University of the Algarve. Read more.

CARAH Conference

Dr Jorge Ramos, CinTurs researcher, presented as a guest keynote speaker the lecture “Beyond fish and coral: How social sciences shape artificial reef studies” at the 12th quadrennial International Conference on Artificial Reefs and Related Aquatic Habitats (CARAH) celebrating its 50th anniversary, held in Santa Marta, Magdalena department, Colombia, 09-14 March 2025.
