SUGERE aims to introduce five degrees in African higher education institutions that combine geology, mining, environment and social economy. The project addresses the large gap in the necessary infrastructure and critical human resources to fully realise the potential from the sustainable use of mineral resources and to ensure local benefits by addressing the causes of poverty, promoting inclusive growth and development, and seeking sustainable financing.
